A Dive Into a Voter Software Company

The article outlines the history of Konnech, a company incorporated in Michigan in 2002 by Eugene Yu. In 2005, Jinhua Yulian Network Technology Co., Ltd. was established in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, China, with funds from Yu Jianwei, a foreign national person to China. Konnech's primary focus was initially in the telecommunications industry, developing projects such as BestBrief and SchoolBrief, mass communication systems intended to send urgent messages quickly via multiple avenues. However, in 2009, Konnech shifted its focus to voting/elections with the creation of PollChief and ABVote. In 2012, Konnech's founders, including Eugene Yu, Jun Yu, and Guojun Shao, invented a US patent for a device and method for selection of options by motion gestures. In 2015, Jinhua Hongzheng Technology Co., Ltd. was established, with Shao Guojun as one of its initial investors, and the rights for a Chinese patent for a system and data processing method for network voting of absent electorates were transferred from JINHUA KONNECH, INC. to JINHUA HONGZHENG TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.
