Konnech, a Michigan-based software company with links to Communist China, has been accused of sending sensitive personally identifiable data on U.S. election workers to China and storing it on servers there. Additionally, Konnech was given “super admin” access to computer systems in the states where they provided software, and allegedly gave that same level of access to unidentified “contractors” in mainland China. The company is now suing two individuals who exposed their activities, and the federal judge in Texas has ordered the two to appear in open court and name their source or risk being taken to jail by the US Marshalls. Meanwhile, the CEO of Konnech has been arrested and charged in Michigan in connection with “theft of personal data.”
