Is Konnech Conducting CCP Backed Espionage Against the US Military?

Konnech Inc.'s CEO and founder, Eugene Yu, has been arrested on charges of sending sensitive US election-related data to Chinese servers. The data contained a lot more than 1.8 million poll worker’s personal identifying information and location of voting machines, building schematics, and other sensitive election data that could be useful to CCP state-backed hacker groups. Konnech also offers an app for overseas absentee voting for the US military, which raises concerns that it could be an easy target for the CCP. The company also programs top-secret military mobilization orders and missions. Yu and Konnech's connection to the Chinese Communist Party has been well documented. This arrest points to the security vulnerabilities of US election systems, which could fall prey to espionage.
